I can remember last year there were 3-4 pages of outfits for the Just like you Dolls on the website. Now there are only 23 outfits available on the web.

Seems like they really discontinued quite a few. OK, 2 outfits are on the sale page. And the good news is, I have all but 5 of them! One I don't even want, imagine that!

I have the earlier versions of the soccer, cheerleader and bath (spa) robe, so I don't have the newer ones on the web.

My last coded orders included the Flapper, Equestrian and Gala Party Outfits!

I guess AG is doing alot of changes right now. As they retired too many Historical outfits. But getting also confused as the Molly Aviator outfit that ws supposed to be discountinued as it is a Short Story outfit and no longer was at AGPNY, now is back on the shelfves! *as seen in Nikki's album* So do not know if they are trying to get rid of it by putting them back and waiting til they all sell out or what.

Also, I was talking to one board member and we both agree that the Today outfits right now have alot of really short "short" skirts! I wish they made nicer dresses for the dolls and other outfits. Do not know where the company is headed, I just hope it is not down the tubes.

Perhaps the Molly Aviator outfit is not being discontinued since the next movie will be about Molly.

There does seem to be a strangely small amount at the moment. Like you, I was surprised to realize how many of the current outfits I have, lol! Hopefully it means new outfits soon.

Also, I was talking to one board member and we both agree that the Today outfits right now have alot of really short "short" skirts! I wish they made nicer dresses for the dolls and other outfits. Do not know where the company is headed, I just hope it is not down the tubes.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I'm split about this. Honestly, I don't find the skirts too short at all, but then I'm 20, and wouldn't be like "what the heck!" if I saw someone my age wearing some of these skirts. However, for the "average" 10 year old, it probably is a bit much. That's not to say there aren't plenty of 10 year olds who do dress like this.

But, I would think that with the wholesome image that AG has, there should be a balanced out amount of trendy clothes with shorter skirts, and those with longer skirts/pants (and there really should be more pants anyway, as nearly all 10 year olds wear pants all the time) so one can get whichever they'd like.

I also agree there needs to be more pants available, but I wish they'd cut them a little more generously. Every time our dolls wear the khaki's that go to the Coconut outfit they end up showing a little too much in the rear, if you know what I mean!

And except for Kirsten, most of our dolls are the slimmer Mattel versions.

They need some real "play" clothes too!

I find myself easily getting caught up in buying AGT things, because I know they won't be around indefinitely the way the core historical outfits are. I think there are TONS of today outfits and it's hard to keep up! Of course, I do like many of them.

I agree on the short skirts thing. I wish they'd make more pants. It's hard to mix/match with the pants they do have. Cami and I have discussed this before, but they really need some cords, some cargo pants, and some basic pants that aren't covered in sparkles or flashy lining.

I agree with you Laurie and Ria. I posted about this earlier too. The things they have out now are so "activity specific". The dolls definetely need more play and school type clothes I'd like to be able to mix and match them too.

I just assumed the skirts were getting shorter because the weather was warming up. I thought they'd make more pants and long skirts in the fall, when people would be more likely to wear them?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well, the new traveling outfit, with the short tweed skirt came out in fall, so I guess that with as much sense as that makes, they're not going to be following it . Pity, too, it would be nice to see more seasonal wear.

I really hope they start making separates. IMO, that would be the best way to solve all of these problems, and would make it SO easy to mix and match and customize your dolls' wardrobes.

The problen is guys, this is Mattel. That means short clothing (skimping on the already deplorably CHEAP fabric) wwaaayyyyyy too much pink and not enough outfits! I'm afraid they will make seperates that aren't seperate - you know, like sewn together skirt and top? I think they are retiring too much too fast. And they do need more JLY clothing! I saw Lord Pumpkin's Licorice's best friend outfit and was horrified at the quality. And I agree that they need to do less of the sparkle/glitter thing.
